CREDIT REPORTING

Credit Reporting- Assembly Bill 2747

Effective April 1, 2025, Assembly Bill 2747 (AB 2747) requires landlords to offer tenants the option to have their on-time rent payments reported to credit bureaus. This initiative helps renters build credit history, benefiting those who consistently pay rent on time.

You Decide

Your on-time, paid-as-agreed rental payment information will be included as part of your standard Experian credit report and may be incorporated in certain credit scores. The addition of this data can be a benefit to anyone who rents, especially consumers interested in building credit history.

Please refer to the brochures below that provide answers to common questions about the reporting of rental payments on your credit report.
